OF STORYBOARD..
1. Adventure Time
The American animated TV series, Adventure Time, inspired me through the colors of the scenes and the detailed background. Since every serie has its own main story, the backgrounds of each story share a similar color feed which makes the content becomes more attractive. For example, in the Ice Kingdom scene, the whole color is blue which fits the icey mood. In my own project, i think the color arrangement is crucial in my background because even though the color is matt, it can still set the whole feeling.

2. Lego Toys (Marvels)
Lego toys is one of my biggest inspiration in my story because regardless of the simpleness of the characters' bodies, the various costumes provided the most significant uniqeness to Lego toys. For each collection or season of Lego toys, there is always a special theme of toys' looks that fit the topic of the whole set. For example, when the Marvels movie is grabbing public attention, Lego designed a whole group of mini marvels character. The shield, wig, and helmet inspired me to make some actual materials so that it can add the realistic feeling on the pictures.

3. Pokemon

The Janpanese cartoon series, Pokemon, is a great influence in our story because we used one of its characters as our main character. Pikachu is an important role in the cartoon. In the series, the cute ears and the yellow skin color brought Pikachu a kind personality. The reason we chose Pikachu as our main character is since Pikachu represents the positive side in the series, we used Pikachu also as a good person in our story.

Gudetama is a Japanese cartoon character created by Sanrio company. Since Gudetama is an alive but lazy egg in the cartoon, another name that people use for 'Gudetama' is 'Lazy Egg'. The way that this egg inspired me is I can turn any still figure into an living thing. For example, in the cartoon, the creator turn a slice of bacon into a bed sheet. In my pictures, I can also use similar materials instead of finding the actual ones.

5. American Horror Story
One of my favourite american TV shows, AHS, always provides lots of ideas to my projects although the series are a bit horror. In our storyboard, we used many similar shots as in some of the seasons. For instance, the head shots and feet shots occurred a lot in season 4 in an abandoned house. I think only taking a small part of the character can not only create a mysterious feeling but also an attractive view.

6. Star Wars

Despite Pokemon, Stormtrooper is another main character in our stories. Because there are many shooting scenes by stormtroopers, so it is easier to present a symbolic shooting sense by using a stormtrooper. Moreover, since stormtrooper is familiar in public's mind, audience will immediately know which position stormtrooper holds according to the Star Wars movie.
7. minimalism
One of the unique comtemporary art styles, minimalism, has the style of simpleness which can be applied in this project. Artworks of minimalism contain only simple elements, and the background colors in our pictures are mainly dark. The reason we used minimal style is because the simple way that the background present can boost the main character. I think minimalism is very beneficial in our topic because the contrast between background and characters can grab audience's attention by focusing on one particular component.

8. Manga
Manga is a historial Japanese art style that is developing worldwide since the late 19th century. Some of the manga artists don't like to put any dialogues in the scenes and it's because drawing backgrounds in different angles can symbolize the movements. The smart use of creating angle views is the main style that inspired me because it is very effective when setting the characters.

Moreover, many drawing background in manga can represent lots of feelings. For instance, the shock lines that surround the characters can easily explain the whole situation which brings a sense of excitement.
